One content highlight this year is the inclusion of more than 150 playable Legends, including new additions such as Hall of Fame pitchers Randy Johnson and Mike Mussina. Ryan Howard, Chase Utley, Dontrelle Willis, Joe Mauer and a bevy of other greats are also available in the game for the first time.

MLB The Show 22 will also have new voices calling the action: play-by-play announcer Jon “Boog” Sciambi and color analyst Chris Singleton. The duo, who called baseball games together on ESPN Radio for a decade, contributed 350 hours and approximately 45,000 lines of dialogue as part of MLB The Show 22’s entirely new commentary system.

Real-life broadcast audio from MLB games called by Sciambi and Singleton is also in the game in order to give it a more authentic experience.

“Working on MLB The Show 22 has been an absolute thrill and is certainly one the coolest and unique things I have done in my career,” Sciambi said. “Partnering with [Singleton] has made it extra special because I get to share the experience with a friend.”
